Well just after I get rid of the Blast and think I'm thinning down the collection, I'm picking up my first Jap bike tomorrow, 71 cb750 4 banger. Teach me to think eh?
So guess now I've got a project to screw around with. I'm thinking mean cafe racer

Wow - if it's all original,how about a restoration?

If not, it will make a great, classic cafe racer!

Got it tonight. She's all original nothing touched on it. Once was in a pretty decent tank slapper it looks like. The steering stopper nubs are bent back and the tank has a couple nice dings where the forks hit it. Seat pan is rusted like no other, battery must have juiced on it. Going to need some cables and to redo the front disc caliper as well, all dried out.
Engine is siezed, dumped some liquid wrench in the cylinders and in the valve inspection holes. Gas tank is nice and clean inside.

Going to take some effort to make it run again, but still decent for the price of "come haul it away"

Possily put up some pics tomorrow.

very cool bike vortec, keep us up on the progress. i've got a '76 cb 360 that i found ditched in the woods with some friends about 12 years ago we swap it off from now and then if someone needs a bike to ride. the old hondas are fun machines and its amazing the abuse some of these poor bikes have been thru and they just keep on goin.

Well here's a few pics of it. Just got it home and stripped a bit to see if I can't get it broke loose without going into it. Guess here's where working in the Honda shop pays off. We even have a few gaskets for it in stock (ready to be returned)
Aside from that, the parts mangager once held some speed records at bonneville on a modded out 750.

Just home:

Little rusty under the seat:

Rear view:

Not bad mileage for a 74:

Gettin sassy:

Fully stripped and drained:

More to come for sure. Stay tuned...
