I'm trying to get the M2 ready for a trackday, but like a dumba** I left it sit over the winter with gas in it. The carb varnished/gummed and the bike won't idle. I took the carb apart to clean, but when I was pulling out the slide to clean I dropped the needle and all the little spacers. Can someone offer some guideance as to how to reassemble the stack of washers / clips? The clip is still in the same spot, do all the washers go above it? Any help would be apprecieated. The bike is an M2 with N4 cams, a Supertrapp, and ported heads (stock valves). Thanks, Ben |

The washers are 'stored' top of the clip if not being used to shim/raise the needle. Of course, if the needle was raised(not stock) the washers were below the clip. |

Thanks Pammy. I kind of thought that, but wasn't sure. I put it together with the two spare washers above the clip, none below. I've got two left I didn't put back. We'll see how it runs. Jack, I saw that on that sight but it didn't seem entirely clear on number & location of the washers. That led me to beleive they might be for fine tuning, but I wasn't sure. Hopefully we'll be acheiving ignition tomorrow... Ben |

They are definitely for fine tuning. Don't lose'em. They are hard to come by sometimes. I find a piece of scotch tape and an index card(when they are out of a carb) keep good track of them. Good luck with your project. |
