I did not know he was battling cancer all that time. He was here only for a short time, but his work made it into the lexicon of popular American music where it can live forever. Gonna miss him.

I have a copy of "See the Light"- great recording for the playing, not so much for studio sound quality. I look forward to hearing the last album. His version of "Blue Jean Blues" is the greatest. Tears the ZZ Top version a new one. RIP and Godspeed- get to jammin up there with Stevie Ray and the jams of the angels.

Bummer. I am a fan. The unorthodox way he held a guitar gave him an advantage when it came to how far he could spread his fingers...and thumb in his case. Too young to die. The world loses.

I liked his "I'm evil and I'm here to stay" Sad to hear that he's gone, but like SRV his music will live on. I wish I'd gotten to see him do a live show.

On Monday XM Radio played a tribute on the Blues channel, Bluesville. They did many of his tunes including Blue Jean Blues. At the end, they played 3 or 4 tunes from the upcoming CD. It really sounds like a winner. I will get it the day it's released. The CD release had been delayed a week or so ago, XM has one of the only copies. They got special permission to play the new songs. Bummer indeed. Brad
