Just picked this up yesterday.

CZ 40-P

(the bayonet doesn't actually work on this model but it looks cool)

I had a substantial gun fund saved up, but alas, the wife spent the majority of it on bills without my knowledge. I had a couple other firearms I was planning on buying. Instead there's a couple I'll be selling. Damn her!

On the plus side it motivates me to get rid of a couple I don't need.

expecting some close combat? I'd get a laser and bright light that fits sort of like that. Don't know what they are called. I am sure one the gun guys will know what I am talking about.

I find that can of starter fluid and a lighter is just as effective is close quarters combat.

Yeah, I wanted to purchase a Streamlight TLR-2 along with it, but didn't have the funds.

The gun shop owner offered me a deal on the bayonet, but I have no use for it. Though it has an accessory rail as well, it's a bit much. I imagine it'd shock the hell out of someone confronted with it.

He also gave me a mag full of some nasty looking old Winchester JHP's.

Winchester JHP

I really like the guy's shop. It's small, but he has some old, some new, and about everything in between. He's fair on prices, an easy guy to work with, and he can source about anything that's available.

You don't need a gun. You're a Marine.

One of the reasons for joining the Marines was to become proficient with various weapons.

The government isn't always going to be there for protection when one needs it...and I just like shooting things up.

The thing I miss the most about being a Marine isn't the shooting things up....

You can still do that as a civilian.

It was the BLOWING THINGS UP!

I loved the annual demo range.

Well, I've had one of these for blowin' things up...as much as one can legally, anyway. Workin' on gettin' another.

Jester, I really wish I knew you better, someone can really have fun with that line.

Remember it is all in Jest(er). Actually the funniest thing I have read in a long when talking arms and combat. Classic!

It's one of the first AR conversions on the market, a Watson's Weapons single shot 50BMG. It was plenty accurate but painfully slow to load. I'm trading in for a bolt-action.
