...thank you to the charter members for your hard work and dedication... Vern: Blake Rudy deserves 99.99% of the credit for BadWeatherBikers.com - it was his idea, he was the one who did the research and pushed it thru to completion (yep, he won the bet - Blake, do ya still have that t-shirt???), and he has worked tirelessly over the years to maintain the integrity of this place AND keep it (almost always) work-safe and child-safe. i've said it before: running an online bulletin board with no rules of behavior is pretty easy in the scheme of things. running one WITH rules of behavior, even ones as gentle as ours, is a whole 'nother animal, and there have been many times over the years that Blake has rolled with punches that would have had me ripping out my remaining hair and pondering pulling the proverbial plug. BadWeatherBikers.com is all Erik's fault (and Blake's fault, and Court's fault, and...)

Jerry, Thank you dear friend/cohort. Careful though, might want to temper your magnanimous kindness on my behalf. You risk destroying my finely honed monstrous reputation. Besides, I gotta disagree with your generous assessment. The truth is that Blake could blather on forever and not attract the number of nor the the fine class of folks that frequent BadWeB, certainly not without a LOT of extremely gifted, kind, and very "special" help. The continuing growth and vitality of this place is due to all the wonderful folks who contribute their unique gifts and share openly their engaging personalities. And you sir bear much of the responsibility for all this. If not for your magnificent horde of PacBOG elites, we likely would have never made the leap from a tiny group of a dozen or so Buell enthusiasts to hundreds virtually overnight. Your SPLASH shirt occupies an honored place in my "most favored T-Shirt drawer". It garners lots of interest and comments when I wear it in public. The BadWeB experience has on whole been a tremendous blessing for me. That said, surely you've noticed the state of my cranial follicular decay? Blake - Before BadWeB...
Note the expression. That was back when I was riding a Yamaha. Coincidence? I think not. Sometimes, as I like to say on occasion, "people are funny"--yes including me--but my experience is that a lot of people are just plain wonderful, certainly much better than monkeys or golf. |

Blake you used to look like the dude who sang and danced the "Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too" commercial. |

By the way . . . what ever happened to the poor dealer who just wanted to learn about sponsorship? He may have seen/heard us, cast aside his dealership and worldly possessions and is now living in a convent in Arkansas. |

You scared them. Thanks. Now we'll be lucky to get a pancake breakfast before the ride to East Troy in July. Seriously, I stopped in to take pics of a Tech's huge 143 c.i. motor, but didn't see the owner. |

Court, that may have been our shop ;) I do have a 400 sq ft shot gun shack in Mt. on the Clark Fork. Cant go to Arkansas, all my relatives are there ;) Y'all should be receiving a fax and a check very shortly. It should be up and done by the time I get back from Monterey and riding the New 1125R... |
