Hi Everyone,
About a month ago I bought my first Buell. I've paid for it but im still waiting for it to arrive(someone stole the ignition) I live in Wales UK. I've never ridden a Buell before but I've heard they are great fun to ride etc. I've got a few questions. Are they reliable? I was wondering has anyone got rid of those huge filter boxes and wheres the best replacement parts available from in the UK. Thanks very much Samzie

Samzie,

Welcome! You will be happy to learn that quite a few of your fellow countrymen also enjoy riding Buell motorcycles. What model and year Buell did you purchase? They are generally reliable; depending on the model and year, there might be a few items to which you should pay attention.

You got more chance of breeding Dodo's than getting a lock set!

Oh yeah, and they're 100% reliable. Never had a problem with mine apart from cutting out in the rain, oil leaks from nearly everywhere, new paintwork, new gearbox and primary parts, did I mention the leaks? heavy breathing, new pistons and rings, still breathing, did I mention the leaks? speedo sensors, 2 brake discs, why do these only last 8000 miles? Oh the leaks, 3 rocker gaskets, base gaskets, lower pushrod tube seals. And the serice at the dealers? Well, that's to die for!

Good luck 'cos you'll need it.
