03 2500 miles salvage due to light lay down on left side can get it for $1500 fairly close to me...will be a present for the wife for x-mas.

opinions on it?

If that was by me, I would for sure take a look at it!
The little lady would love that for christmas!!!

Just make sure its a mechanically sound bike, and I say go for it.

It has a salvage title....doesn't that mean that it was totaled? Is it hard to re-title in your state? Was there more damage than stated for it to be totaled? Not being a jerk, just don't want to see ya bet bit....Kenny

Yeah, but I have seen totaled bikes with nothing more than subframe damage.

The bike on the right was declared totaled this past April. Bought the bike back, ordered parts and it's good as new.

i also just found one 30 miles from me an 01 8500 miles same price extra filters new (not installed) tires and did i mention not 5 hours away looking at her after work tues...

the one reason we didn't take the lighting back as a salvage title, we couldn't get insurance on it through our company
