I think a chopped can with an aluminum skidplate is the way to go. Then again, if you do some creek riding, and the bearings can handle the water level, you may wish to put the pipe a little higher.

Ahhh the first band my parents ever told me to turn that $hi@t down! I dont think I could work the shift lever/ rear brake that way. Do those count for all the gear all the time ? Thinking the shaved 9 stocker with a bash plate is the cheapest easiest way to go. Pics will be up when she is done.

One way to look at it;
At least it's the muffler getting bashed in and not your engine case.

+1 to shaved and reinforced under-slung.

Then you'd have a 4 purpose item; noise control, weight centralization, engine protection, and crushing small woodland creatures.

"What kind of a sick bastard smashes up a race muffler?"

He could still get $400.00 for it on Ebay.
