also posted in the KV intake section, here it goes, tell me what you think. I have a 2000 m2 with the mods that follow, xb rocker covers forcewinder intake ss2r V&H slip on X1 cams. I have the stock carb on it the previous owner installed the V&H and forcewinder and a jet kit. i have not played wit the jets i just left them the way that i got em, when i crack the throttle fast it seams to stutter for a quick second not very good throttle response, but pulls hard if you ease into it.what needs to be done i would imagine that it has to be jetted better. with the end of the riding season closing in i plan on adding a d&d full exhaust and a hsr42 mm carb does any one have a good recomendation for a good tune in the twin citys metro area after my next round of mods?

Perhaps the accelerator pump is getting tired?
Is the linkage adjustable?

There are some mods that are done to the carb. slide that can be overdone and will cause this problem. Also check the diaphragm in the top of the carb. Has it been doing this since you have had the bike? Or are you just now starting to whack the throttle on?
I'm not a big fan of this technique,IMO these motors really don't like this style of throttle control.
You can open the bleed hole in the slide too much and you can cut the spring too short, just a couple of things that could have been done by the previous owner. Also check the air/fuel screw on bottom of carb.(close to the intake)Std. adj. is 2 1/2 turns.......Charlie
