Was going to get it powder coated, but then I couldnt match the color so I think i will have to get it painted. How does paint hold up on the aluminum x1 tail? Just dont wanna spend all this money for paint and it be useless. THANKS

no. I need a pearl white with a red double stripe down the very end of the tail...the whites will not match at all.

Hmmm, I would definately say check with Class Coatings, as I know they did the powder on the tubers.......

There prices are REALLY good to...

You're probably not going to find a good match for a pearl white. But I don't know why painted would be a problem. My Land Rover has an aluminium body. The paint looks almost as new after 10 years of abuse.

Sounds neat, I polished mine out. Easy enough to do but then it wouldnt be a one off like your's. Strip it well and sand well. Get it smooth with some wet paper.
