How horrible...about 700 miles ago (20K) the front of my shock on my '02 S3T started weeping. A little fluid at first but now: torrents. It sure rides nice ...like a wing with low tire pressure but it is not so good in the turns or esses. I understand there are several ways to go about replacement so I am seeking the Fountian Of }Knowledge that is Badweather. Help if you can please.

Plenty of shocks to buy if you are interested. But if you want it repaired my recommendations is www.traxxion.com

The most easy/cheap method is to buy one from ebay.
Choppers don't have suspension in the rear.

Mine took about a year of leaking and quite a few thousand miles before it gave up the ghost. I ended up buying a Works Performance from American Sport Bike and have been pretty happy with it.
It is a lot costlier to buy an aftermarket but at least you know you are getting a decent shock. If you buy a used one it may bite it soon after, but then you'll have a spare to send in for repair.

Hey Wolf, (and others) thanks for the input...except a $1200 shock from penskie is not exactly what I need...can I get a response closer to the $2-300 range? I thought there were several re-builders out there I could trust. Thanks again.
