So I was already going to get up somewhat early this morning to go for a ride, when my Brother walked in at 7 with his Duc 900m in the truck and wants to know if I going to the track for test and tune. Well he didn't have to ask twice, though I had some trepidation because it has a slip on, CF ham can and the stock ecm.
Long story short- other than the run where I missed 3rd, I put it to him : )
My best run (and I don't have it strapped down yet) was a 12.012 @ 111.31 with a 1.861 60 ft.
(the shirt made me do it, thanks Court)
All in all I feel the bike and I did good for the 1st time out and feel like I will definitely be in the 11's next time!

Way to Go, Scott!

You know, with a stretched swingarm, some wheelie bars, a little bit of motor work, you could be shooting for the 9's!

Scott: Went to DAYTONA 2006, did you !!!

Get a "SHIFT LITE" and set to come on at 6800 RPM(that is what you should shift at) ...

GOOD LUCK NEXT TIME !!!

Leftcoastal, that would be fun, but I think it would take more than a "little" engine work to get in the 9's. For now I will be happy with 11's!

Buellistic, a shift light is definitely going to be needed for any consistency (along with the strap).

I got the shirt from Court for sending out e-mails to HD dealers suggesting they inform their customers going to Daytona that a Buell would be racing and that they should attend...

That's a pretty strong S3. I doubt there are many people that could run in the 11's.

I couldn't imagine getting a good launch on a wheelie prone Buell.

With a little better launch, I WILL make it into the 11's with what is in my mind a stock bike.
My best 60' was something like a 1.83 and I was limiting the wheelies to about 6". It is all about throttle and clutch control, but all of you should try it, it is fun, cheap and it is really not that hard to get reasonably quick passes....
