Called Haley and they said you can't put oil back in them? What's up with that. That much did not leak out when I took the line off. What will happen if I run it that way?

What line? I didn't think the M2s had remote reservoirs?

If it is the remote, it's not the oil, it's the pressure. A local suspension shop (ie dirt shop) can pressurize it - if they know the correct pressure.

Yes on the 2000 M2 it has the can attached to the shock.I took the shock off and the bolt hooked on to the shock part was loose and was dripping oil out.

You need to get it re-pressurized. Ask TracksideEngineering.com for a quote.

You ought to get it rebuilt since it will be off. New gaskets etc.

I had a local Ducati/Triumph dealer do mine for $10 (re-charge).

The shocks are rebuildable...it's just not easy and there aren't many people willing to do it. Also, you could almost buy another shock for the labor to get it done.

I got my seals/bushings from RaceTech.

Josh;
The M2's originally had no reservoir; these were a factory recall. The replacements have the remote reservoir with lines, same as the S3T and X1.

Not true on cost,a new Penske or the like will run you 700 and up.Shock rebuild will be about 300 +/- and they will set it up for your riding style.

Called a suspension shop here in Phoenix.Told me since I had loosen the bolt on the line and some oil leaked out.I need to have the shock rebuilt.Is this true? Can't I just put oil back in and have it Pressurized? Or don't I know how all this works. They also said they need the information on what the shock should be pressurized at. Does anybody know this information.I live out here and Phoenix does anybody know here locally I can get this done at.

The shock needs to be disassembled to refill the oil.

In the very least the reservoir has to be opened up. If the shock has anything near 10,000 miles you may as well have it rebuilt.
