anyone try to put a larger, 99 M2 seat and tail section on a 98 S1? I have a large 5 gal tank so that should fit ok, I'm worried about attaching the seat. will the hole for the seat screw lining up?

Two Buells, it won't be quite as easy as it looks. The rear section of the frames are actually different, and not just shorter on the S1. The rear hoop of the S1 has a steeper angle to it and actually sits higher than the M2 or S3. I have seen an M2 tail on an S1 but the frame had been modified. The S1 Twintail does not do much by itself, but the Twin tail with a Corbin Seat makes a big difference (much more seat room for the rider, but still not much passenger space). I had this setup on my S1 for awhile and could ride all day, and could manage a few hours with my wife on the back. Only switched it back to the solo setup when I bought my S3.

96 S1, 97 S3
