Heya.. been a min since ive been here. Hope everyone is still alive and kickin, and that 2021 is better for all.
I aquired my sons 99 m2, she was very neglected. I invested a bunch of time in it and shes much better now but, all my friends are short(ter).
Anyone know if such an item still exists? It did have one when the shock recall was completed but....

Let me rephrase, my friends are more vertically challenged than myself. I know theres a little attachment that attaches to the rearmost of the shock that lowers the rear. I dont know if it was custom or not. Just lookin to see if theres any insight.

Very hard to find item. I found it much easier to find / buy an M2Low shock and kickstand.
Remember to raise your forks in the tree by a like amount...

Was the stock m2 shock the 16"? Dont recall.
And were those the only differences between the m2 and the low? Shock and stand?

My M2L is 16” shock
Front forks are also a bit shorter so they don’t stick up much past the top triple tree and the side stand

Have a collar made for the shock. 1" thick equals about 2" lowering. The collar effectively lengthens the shock and maintains preload. Then raise the front fork tubes in the tipple tree. This lowers the front and just about maintains the rake.

Can't go any lower than 2" or the rear tire will hit the underside of the seat and oil tank.
Cannot use the 14.5" shock mount and a 16" shock. That lowers the bike so much that the rear fender will be about 2" from the underside of the seat. BUT! Works great if you are building a trike! See my profile photo. Lowering the rear increases the rake which is exactly what a trike needs.
