The crush bend piece wouldn't look good, but I'm sure someone could make you a nice stainless piece that looks like what the V&H exhausts come with. I wonder if anyone has a spare piece from a V&H pipe they'd let go and you could try to make that work with it. I love seeing custom made headers where the bends are all welded out of angled cuts. I googled the Jesse James one, $20 per cut! That's nuts. |

if you look up to the pics i posted for the m2 engine it does have what looks like a v&h pipe with some funky end cap? if that white muffler is 2.5" i could use that pipe. the actual muffler looks pretty trashed. since it came with the engine im not into it cash wise |

If it came off a 97 M2, I’m betting it’s 2”. I wonder if it would bolt right up to the S2 header? |

It's hard to say. At first glance it looks like a V&H SSR with a different end cap and some extra bolts(originally had 4 at the rear). I tried looking at some pictures online and it's hard to say. My V&H exhaust has a connecting pipe that slides into the front of the exhaust can and is held on with springs. The front of the can has 8 rivets in it. The one you posted looks like it's all welded. I see some of the newer V&Hs don't use the springs anymore, but all the ones I see online still have rivets up front. That one also doesn't have the rear mount welded on. I see the carbon ones use a strap, but as far as I can see, all of the aluminum ones have the mount welded on. Wasn't uncommon for them to break though, so it's very possible someone just cut theirs off after it cracked, and made a strap for it. The front engine mount on yours also looks a little different too. They all had a little Vance and Hines badge on the side, and even though that's easily removed, I don't see any rivet holes on yours to point out to it being removed, unless he filled them in and sanded them before he painted it. Judging by the look of the exhaust though, I doubt he would've spent the time. All of that is based entirely on what I can find in pictures on google, and what I remember of my exhaust at home, I'm not willing to put any money down on the accuracy of any of it. I'd guess there's a very good chance it's not a V&H exhaust, but the problem is that there's only so many exhausts available for tubers, so unless he pulled that exhaust from a different bike and had that connecting pipe made to it, I'm hesitant to confidently say it's not. Either way, if the white bros exhaust is a good deal, I'd definitely take a run past an exhaust shop and ask them what it would cost to make you a stainless 90 degree pipe to fit it, and just make yourself a strap that'll wrap around it for the front engine mount. |

wow thanks for the in-dept review! :-D i may pass on the white muffler just because there are only a few baffle discs installed and since its NLA im sure it would be a pain to find more of the discs. i may just try to run that unknown muffler and fix the 2.5 S1W header i have |

Hardware is easy to replace, nice looking air cleaner. Looks like it's sold already. Hopefully you bought it if you wanted it. (Message edited by Upthemaiden on June 14, 2018) |

Happy Kwanzaa! They are Dunlop roadsmart 3 which is a sport touring dual compound which should help chicken strips. Couldn't beat the price and they have good reviews comparing to Michelin tires. Made in USA |

With the carbon race air cleaner my knee ended up sitting on top of it. Never really bugged me. I do prefer the Force and that's what I am using now. |

I talked him down on the white bros pipe to $70 plus ship. I told him I’d pay ask if he had the midpipe. He looked and couldn’t find the midpipe. Figure i can’t go wrong there. I’m thinking it’s a 2”. I’ll see when I get it . |

Yeah I would have bought it but didn't want to risk not finding more discs as the low amount will not let it flow that much. Ive used supertrapp style mufflers before |
