My m2 was leaking pretty bad from the lower pushrod seal. I thought I would try the large seal covers so I called up Dan at NRHS and he ordered me some. The Zipper colapseable pushrod kit showed up. Put the cylinders on tdc and removed the rocker covers and removed the original pushrod covers. With the push rods removed pulled the tubes out. Not required to pull the heads. I had to pull my exhaust to pull the out. Then I had to grind the Lower fin so the larger base would fit . I filled the holes with clean rags while grinding. Air drill with grinder went pretty fast. The seals are pretty good. They are a little challenging to put in - you have to pull the spring down enough to put the romovable plate in - kinda like working with brake shoe springs. So far no leaks!

Looks good! If I knew you were using billet bases I would have ground the fins for you before we shipped the kit out! |

Ive done this to three of my bikes and getting ready to do it to a 4th. So far no leaks on any of mine either, I really do recommend them. When I tear one down far enough to do the oil pump drive gear replacement I just consider it part of the job to do this "upgrade". I didn't have to grind any fins on any of my motors though and have done it to a 96 S1, 2002 S3T, 98 thunderstorm motor in an S2, and a buddy's 98S1, getting ready to do my 98 S1W. What cylinders do you have that you had to grind the lower fin? |

I put them on my X1, they work excellent!! Worth the upgrade if you ever have to remove your factory tubes as they are a bitch to get them back on. I didnt have to grind fins either. |
