I have the Buell heated grips on my 2002 S3T. The kit was probably from a Uly? look just like the standard controls from 99 on, yet the right side has a three position slide switch for heat control. they come grips as opposed to a wrap that you put under standard grips. they were on the bike when I bought it, though I have seen full brand new kits for sale on ebay through the St. paul HD guys. oddly enough, just found this, this is exactly what is installed on my 2002 S3T http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-Heated-Hand-Grip-Kit -New-N1050-1AK-B5H-/281426700561?pt=Motorcycles_Pa rts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ABuell&hash=item418656a 911&vxp=mtr |

Heat: They offer good heat range, and get "quite" warm on the highest setting, with three settings to choose from (if my memory is correct) to be honest though, I have never used heated grips prior to this bike so I cant compare or offer a comparison between these and other products. Grip: everyone likes something different in a grip so tough to offer an opinion, plus I ride so many different bikes with different grips that It really depends on the type of riding Im doing as to what grip I want/like. these feel a little firm with pretty good shape/ergonomics, though could be either design or age that make mine that way. Theyre not terrible by any means, but they are also not my favorite? life: not sure how old they are but they seem to be holding up well, with no signs of splitting, cracking, deteriorating, just normal wear. |

I like the cartridge heaters, which don't wear out and leave all my bar end and grip options open. |

I've only had "factory" heated grips on BMW's and they work well.I have Polly Heaters on my S2T that don't seem to work as well as when I installed them years ago. I've been thinking of going the grip route on this S3T instead of Polly Heaters and saw that same ebay ad that you found Jolly.I've got a connection at the dealership and may be able to get them cheeper. I'm wondering how they connect?I guess I could cut the connectors and run to a switched hot. |

I've always wondered about adding these myself. Some online searching came up with the following: www.motorcycle.com/how-to/heated-grips-evaluation- 71386.html $40 plus some time wiring and a $5 relay, would definitely be worth the effort: http://www.pollyheaters.com/ph400.htm |

Think there is a hosting issue. It worked earlier, then got a weird error, now just a blank page. Would try again later. It is the first link form Google "motorcycle cartridge heater". |
