I know the topic has been covered ad nauseam but I've got a fairly simple question. I've had the new and improved gaskets on my bike for around 15K miles and now I'm beginning to get a very slight weepage from the left rear corner of the rear rocker. Would it help if I re-torqued the bolts? If so, could someone remind me of the torque value? I'm just going to leave it alone if the answer is no.
Thanks.

It couldn't hurt, 90-120 inch/lbs.

Thanks Steve. Appreciate it. I'll give it a go.
Buellistic - Thanks for the great ideas for the "improvised" tools. Making those is going to be part of the "fun"...

where is the leak? did upgrade the lower gasket under the rocker box or just the gaskets with the top of the rocker box covers? did you do the XB style conversion or did you keep the stock rocker box covers (2 pieces) and just do the gaskets? my leaks have all been on the lower paper gasket below the rocker box..once I made the switch to the metal gasket and the XB style covers I have not a another leak at that point in the motor.

somebody here had a bad time making the change and later found out that the used XB covers he were slightly warped....

If you do not take apart or reassemble the aluminum covers correctly they can and will "WARP" !!!

I have the OEM covers with the metal gasket. The weep (not quite a leak) location is between the lower piece and the head just around the fins on the rear corner. I decided to leave it alone for now due to warping concerns. Its more of a nuisance.
