Anyone ever replace the metal/rubber rear brake line on an X1? mine is a 2001? it looks like I'll lose the brake light switch, so I'd need to go to a conventional switch or maybe something like this.
I needed to change the rear pads and always have a hell of a time bleeding that line for some reason. I've rebuild the caliper and the master cylinder. I have to believe that a straight line would be easier to bleed. Not they I use the rear that much, but it is nice to have. |

I have changed my rear brake line to braided SS. I used a standard pressure switch and it works well. I've used the pressure switch/banjo bolt like in your picture on my friend's KTM bike when we "made it street legal". It works great as well. |

X1_rider Thanks, did you run the line along the top of the swingarm or did you go up and over like the stock setup? |

I used the same path as the stock line. The reason I changed it is because the CrossRoads rearsets I installed relocated the master cylinder and the stock line was too short and it broke, spilling the brake fluid.
