I bought a M2 after reading of how they were the 'old man's' version of Buell as far as riding position goes. I hated riding, and putting weight on my hands for the first few hundred miles. I'm 5'11'' @180#, but have really long hands. A $15 set of foam cushions on my grips were like getting a new motorcycle. The pressure is spread around my hands more, and my arms & elbows don't hurt. I wear padded weightlifter gloves to give me a little more diameter too

Anybody ever try those Raask bars on an X1? I would think it should be pretty similar to Rempss' S1 since he has an X1 tank. Just wondering if there were any clearance issues, or issues getting the controls or master cylinder to fit. I've read about problems with those bars on XBs. I'm looking for something a little lower or forward and more importantly a bit more swept back than the stock bars.

After I dropped my X1 on the highway a few years back, I replaced the bars with some "Honda CR250 bend" bars. ($15!)
I had to cut the crossbrace and drill the control guide holes but it went on pretty well.
I rotated them forward a bit so they wouldn't bump into the tank.

My only gripe is that now they lean me forward too much for a long ride.
I'm kinda looking for a stock X1 bar now.

How do the supermoto bars compare to stock? Which ones do you have? Aside from the functionality, I think the jota bars look sweet. Too bad they are so $$$.

In an effort to get a little lower than my stock X1 handlebar, I swapped it out for a CityX bar. The crossbar necessitated an additional purchase of a lowered dash from RRC since I didn't want to remove it, but I'm really quite happy with the ergos now. Lowered me about an inch, but kept the general pullback I was accustomed to from the stock setup:

Rental makes nice high bars without the crossbar.

I'm using the Road High bars on my X1 and love them. The street fighters I think still have the cross bar.
