So I traced my wiring with FSM and got lights and signal on Tach. Orange and black wires are fuse and ground...ie lightbulb. Pink is the signal wire and input is off of coil. Great, both cylinders fire, but if I roll throttle, needle only moves and stops at 1500 rpm. If I turn off ignition, needle drops to 0.

I have good continuity from tach to coil. Does this mean that my tach is faulty? Should I test anything else, or just replace the gauge?

Thanks...

pull it
take it to a trusted dealer
have them check it

sounds dead,

If you have a buddy with an FI tuber and ecm spy he can replace his tach with yours and test it.
