My friend called me and asked for help. Since I am still a novice at the Buell thing I could not give him advice. So help me!!!! He took off the manifold to replace the gaskets. removed the tank, injectors manifold and whatever wires associated with this removal. He put it all back together and now the bike will not start. Cranks over fine, spark fine, but will not start. I told him to go over every thing to be sure he hooked every thing back up, and did not forget any thing. Ideas? |

Check the injectors, make sure he didn't swap the connectors. It's something simple. |

Good advice, I told him it must be a simple problem. |

Fuel line? I second the "injectors plugged in wrong" idea. |

IIRC there's an electrical connection to the fuel valve on the left side of the tank. It would be easy to forget since everything else you're doing is on the right side. |

I just called my friend he got it running. He hooked up the wires to the fuel pump but did not push them in far enough! Simple error we have all made. Runs perfect! |

Now he'll be more aware of the initial pump turn-on sound than ever before!! |

Yeah he laughed when he told me what he did! We have all done this stuff......... Learning from our mistakes is what makes us better mechanics/tinkerers |
