I did the search already and found a lot of nice things ,but nothing useful!

So i hope someone can tell me the total fork length from top (without adjustment screw)to center of axle.

And also what the seat height is from a 98 s1

Thank you!

Yes it helped!

I have a fork with triples from a 06 stt(parts bike)
I want to use the xb fork in a 96 S1 frame(project).

the 2004 xb forks are 28 inch
and the 97 s1 fork you measured is +- 27 3/4 inch
so they are (almost) the same length

The stt forks are 29 7/16 inch
now i try to find out if they can be shortened!?
or if there is another way to make them the same length ,maybe shorten the inner tube and shorter springs

To go find another fork here is something like a needle in a haystack!

So if someone knows more or already have been there and done that ,share your knowledge please!?

I am looking to do something similiar at this time as well. The longer length may be beneficial for you, because of where the triple trees mount on the tubes you will need to slide the tubes through the triples more. Purpony on this board has been of some assistance with this since he has done similiar.
