OK new problem, now that the S2 is running well. My speedo quit yesterday. I could see that the cable was hanging loose from the drive unit. Didn't see any broken end to it so I popped it back in and it worked till it fell out again. I have it fastened on with zip ties right now. The manual doesn't show a fastening sleeve. Does the cable thread into the drive unit? What do I need to replace?

The cable threads into the drive housing.
The cable housing is wound of wire like a screw. This threads into the housing.

Thanks Bluz!

Threaded it back in, sometimes the simplest things are puzzling...

BTW, if it's backing out, your flange nut on the top is loose...
