I replaced my starter gasket because I had oil on top of the primary making its way to the bottom. I noticed I still have a bit of oil in front of the starter, it may be residual oil from opening/re-closing the primary and/or some temporary weeping around the gasket, but I think it may be my stator plug.
I saw that the plug comes with the whole stator unit.
Is there a way to fix that leak without having to buy a whole new stator unit?

Thanks in advance.

easy, push it through towards the starter. Put a nice amount of sensor safe silicone on it and push it back in...

Buellistic, thanks for the torquing sequence, I always wondered as well why they don`t have one in the service manual.
Spiderman, thanks for the info, I guess I`ll have to remove the primary cover, yet one more time!

you may be able to pull it through on the started side. But it will be easier with the primary off...

I think I will take the time to take the primary off. One thing I realized about working on those bikes is that when you think you'll save yourself some work by taking a short cut, you end up cursing out loud a lot more, haha!
