Ran the M1 till the M3 came along. I liked them and the bike had no evil handling quirks.

Changing to the M3 required different suspension settings.

I am on my 2nd set of M3's on my S3, if that is any help, and have been very pleased with tip in, stability, wet and dry traction.

Cast wheels stay with the 170 180 on the PMs.

I say this for a reason. The M1 you can get away with the 180 on a 5 inch. The M3 is another story. The M3 has a dual radius profile and the sidewalls are a lot stiffer than the M1.

You will find the M3 front with its tri radius profile makes for excellent tip in and tracking.
