Well i picked up a CF lower chin fairing from AL @ American Sport Bike. I also know people at a body shop (ie the painter) and he said he would paint all my real CF parts (I have some Fake CF) with a very good UV protection added to the paint. I have seen some nice carbon fiber get all crappy and dull over time. I will post some pics of the parts when done. I may just do trade work for the paint job. Hey little buggles if you want some stuff painted call me i can do whatever you want CHEAP! |

Please excuse the hijacked thread. This is an embarrassing question and hope I do not get slapped. I store my X1 with carbon fiber parts in a garage, but was wondering if I go out for a few hours, could I rub the carbon fiber down with sunscreen? |

haha that's actually a good question, never thought of that before I would think the answer is no- sunscreen has chemicals in it not meant for paint, and will likely discolor it over time. instead, keep a good coat of a high quality wax on it- they have UV inhibitors in them also. |
