Anyone know how I can get them raised Buell stickers off the tank without causing damage to the underlying paint?

Use dental floss (unwaxed) saturated in Goo-Gone to dissolve the adhesive.

"Saw" the logos off using the saturated dental floss with a back and forth motion to cut the glue.

Hair dryer helps but be careful not to get things too hot.

Lighter Fuel! lifts most adhesives without any damage to paint work.

I got some spray stuff from an auto body supply outfit years ago to remove factory applied decals. Worked fine.
