Anyone know if I can buy a rebuild kit? The rubber(?) inside has gone bad.

Thanks

Parts lookup doesn't show a rebuild kit. I don't think there is any rubber inside, but you can disassemble it easily enough (with an EMPTY tank, lol). Just pull the 4 screws (or is it just 2? I don't remember offhand)out of the side and the plate will come off, and you can see the internals. Careful, or the valve itself will tumble out too.

Check to make sure it's the valve itself leaking. I've seen, more often than not, the O ring where it attaches to the tank go bad. P0301.8 is the part number. It's obsolete but I show 2 in stock, for $1.99/ea.

Talking to one of my guys, 62172-02 is a fuel valve gasket that's readily available. I'd have to put hands on one to verify placement in the valve, but I suspect it's the gasket for the plate you're going to remove to inspect the internals. Also in stock here (7 of 'em), $.95 each.

Thanks Joe. I have it disassembled. It has a gasket in it(crumbled away) that looks like it's the size of a nickel, with a couple of maybe 1/8" holes in it to allow the gas to flow.

Well, there's no repair kit, but a S2 petcock works fine. Being a packrat has advantages.: )
