I am getting a 97 M2 this week. My question is if this bike will cruise at 70+ mph for an extended period of time. I plan on using this bike to take some trips. I currently ride a XR650L, and have done some long trips but the bike doesn't like extended freeway time.

if you can do 600 mile days, you will still be short of what that MaDuece can do.

I cruised my S2 at 80 for 1420 miles in 2 days, so I'm sure the "MaDuece" can do the same ; ), asumimg it's been taken care of.

I run 80-85 all the time for extended periods on my 98. However I wasn't comfortable until I had new good tires at the proper psi, a full service, and I had my mechanic (Dad) look everything over first. I always make sure I check the oil before every long run.

Make sure she's all safe and go for it. And I'm pretty sure that your seat will make you take breaks before the bike needs it.

Thanks for the input, I just wanted some reassurance that the bike would do what I intend to use it for.
