That is a sweet bike,Mikey. I am jealous. Working on a Gix 750 I got to be a back up for our Bonneville turbo gix, but may just turbo it for a street ride.

Jim,

Ever thought about just putting a turbo on just the front header? The ECM already treats the motor as more or less two motors, so it can fuel and cool each cylinder appropriately.

Seems like you could leave the rest of the exhaust intact, and just boost the intake with half your exhaust output. It would simplify plumbing a lot as well. You could get away with a physically smaller turbo as well.

I'm not thinking about it as a "monster power Bonneville motor", I am thinking about it as an "XB9 110 RWHP" motor that gets good fuel economy and is reliable.

Hey Jim, don't be jealous..next time your up this way, you can ride it.

And good luck on that turbo bike. That's gonna be bad ass!

My friend has a turbo Gixxer 600, and i've ridden it a few times. It's a lot of fun.
He's pusing about 6lbs of boost, and it has a blow off valve, so just listening to that makes it half the fun of riding it.

The 750 in my garage that the Aussies left me makes 32 lbs of boost. Lots of fun noises with wastegate etc.Greg told me he has nearly everything for a second turbo system.

Holy shit! 32 lbs of boost? Are the internals going to handle that kind of HP Jim?

Post up some pics Pronto!
There's a company out in Europe throwing a supercharger on a 1098 Ducati. They are claiming an honest 200HP at the rear tire.

To tell you the truth, i can't imagine it. I'm having a hard time controlling my 1198 through the first three gears. But hey, i gotta applaud them on the efforts.
