G'day Buellers I've been busy making up new mufflers for the mutant, I really liked the look and sound from my twin setup but was a pain in the ass to remove as the oil lines had to be pulled! As I have always liked the look and sound of the Force exhausts I have now made something similar. This is still only a rough prototype as I had no slip roller to make the reverse cone smooth. The first two attempts sounded this one sounds bad ass! I'm eventually going to get a sheet of Titanium from Airport Metals for the final product. Even though this current one is stainless steel it would weigh about 2.5kg lighter than my old setup. As you can see from the speedo I've got 15543k's on he old girl since Feb last year add that to the original speedo of 52000 thats 67543 and never had the heads off. I'm still running the Michelin Pilot road 2 on the rear that got nailed at the Muster as you can see the 2 plugs it now has as my professional repair done at the bike shop leaked so I had to stick another plug in it! I should have left Crabmans one alone I guess....I put that rear tyre on at 11000k's and you can see by the picture that its wearing excellent with minimal flat spot and I ride the thing to work every day. Mick just posted a picture of the small S1 tank, I've had this for a few years now just waiting to paint it(saving it for track days). The new XR1200 fuel caps fit these too. I'll try and post a video of the beasty making some noise Sorry about how dirty she is...been a bit wet out here lately! Cheers Jodie Sorry about all the pictures and all the waffle... If some of this dosen't make sense to you I just copied and pasted it from my other thread on buellersdownunder...I'm to lazy to mod it!

Hmm. This looks very strange. I've never seen a Mutant Buell with a swing arm frame. It looks to me like an Old School Tube Frame Buell with a retro style XB wheelset. Nice looking scoot!! Your home made exhaust system is commendable. Keep up the good work! KK (Message edited by kdkerr2 on January 25, 2009) (Message edited by kdkerr2 on January 25, 2009) |
