Sorry if any of you were watching the Works Shock on eBay...

I have been speaking with the company since it was listed the first time. I was told that I would be able to purchase the shock for 50% off if no one bid on it after 5 days. So, I called up Works today.

They ended the auction and I purchased directly from them for 50% off!!!

I'm sooooo stoked.

Now, how do I set one of these up? It doesn't have rebound adjustment, fine with me.

Reading the auction:

The shock will come with necessary instructions and tools for adjustment

The instructions with my S2 shock were very easy to understand. Congrats, I love mine.

I believe you will be happy with the shock. I have one on my S3. The only thing I would pass on is that the supplied tool probably won't break the jam nut loose. I had to use a punch and hammer. But the tool worked fine to adjust after that.

Bad Karma and the locknut, I too had that problem. Get a real spanner wrench...or gouge up the locknut! But adjustment should be easy, and secondary adjustment for ride hight, I lengthened or tightened the nyloc nuts on the two chrome rods...equally!!! you will like it and it looks so trick.

They do look good but the sweet thing is that they work so much better than the stock shock. If they last longer that is all that I'm asking of it.

Are you SURE the shock does not have rebound adjustment? I would be very surprised, adjustable rebound damping is very important, and the least expensive Works shock comes with it. As you put on more pre-load on the spring, you need to increase rebound to compensate. Its a small allen screw you turn to adj the rebound.
