All,
How do you adjust/correct the speedo after changing a pulley to a different ratio? I look in the KV and didn't find anything on the subject. Thanks in advance for your help.

For electronic speedometers on HD & Buell, S&S Speedometer Calibrator p/n 55-1007 works beautifully. It is a relatively small unit which plugs in and is adjustable within 1%. I have had mine on for ~10k mi. and am happy with it. They are available from mail-order and i-net sources.

Buellboiler- what pulley did you change and where did you buy it? I would like a smaller front pulley to lower my gearing too.

If you change the motor sprocket, one does not have to worry about the speedo sensor ...

it is on a 2001 X-1 so an electronic control should work.

i plan to change the transmission pulley to an aluminum 29 tooth version since i have some highway riding to do and wanted to try it out.

i fail to understand why nothing is needed if the transmission pulley is changed as i see no speedo cable from the front wheel.

You should look closely at a BLAST as it has a gearing corrector between the sensor on the transmission and the speedometer just above transmission sensor on my 2000 Blast ...
