I am in need of a kickstand to put one back on my ROC S-1 and wondered if a 1997 M-2 one was the same?

I have an M2 stand on my S1W, no problems other than it's a different color (OEM S1 is gray, OEM M2 is black). I like the black better, actually.

Are all S1 sidestands the same color, regardless of frame color?

To echo Court, yes. My white/white/white S1W had a gray stand when I got it, totally unmolested, with 1100 miles on it 2 years ago. I can only assume it's the OEM stand.
