haha... was watching Greta tonight as I was cooking dinner, she was reporting about the DNC emails being hacked,... Wasserman being booed, and the Baltimore Mayor with the Gavel... then she played a clip of Trump with his reaction to it all... was priceless. He sure is growing on me. I think I just endorsed Trump!
Due to a bit of 'topic-creep' on the Hillary thread, I culled a few quotes from those posts to further the discussion here should anyone be interested.
Fb1 - if you run across this, would you mind sharing the source(s) you alluded to in the other thread? The more info one can review the better. I'm sure there is a lot that I can still learn about Trump. Some of it may please me, some of it may not. Either way, yes! - The Donald could go shoot someone on 5th avenue and not lose my vote! So long as it was rightly deemed justifiable use of force.
Rick_a - "The establishment on both sides seems a bit disjointed by Trump. I don't think that's a bad thing."
This must be one of his most positive attributes for certain! Back before anyone had even announced their candidacy, I had made up my mind that I would support whomever was hated by both sides. Ted Cruz fit the bill all the way, and even more so given the fact that he was already within the GOP ranks and had no qualms about swimming against their notions of 'appease Obama on everything'. His Obamacare filibuster was legendary. Fast forward to the campaign where he went around the country doing a bunch of needless Bible-thumping - that rubbed me the wrong way. After the stunt he pulled at the RNC, I'm all but done with him at this point.
Reep - "Especially when the blowhard will be held accountable and kept bounded by an adversarial media and an effective judiciary fully enforcing the rule of law. "
I think that Trump may be turning the tables on this one. The media will continue to attack him with even more fervor than they've exhibited thus far. Were he to actually win the office, the MSM will go into 24/7 full attack mode. If this happens I firmly believe that they will damage their credibility even further. I personally have reveled in seeing Donald extend to them the middle finger. This is something that is totally foreign to them and they clearly do not know how to react since Republicans of yore were always forced to back-track, apologize or become complicit to the media in any number of ways. Those days are coming to an end. Thank you, Mr. Trump for this. If an effective judiciary is fully enforcing rule of law then things will have reverted back to the way they were always supposed to be.
Aes - "That said, if Donald lives to the election, and the Democrat voter fraud isn't enough to stop him, and Obama doesn't cancel the election because of the terrorist attack on REDACTED and the use of the Army to put down the REDACTED revolt in REDACTED.....
Herein lies the crux. Provided that we even make it to November, it is a foregone conclusion that Dem voter fraud in this election will make '08 and '12 look like absolute play-skool. Anyone who can walk or even be rolled into a polling station (or somehow get there after being deceased) will vote early and as many times as they can.
At the same time - Assange is claiming that he has evidence against Hillary that will undoubtedly put her in stripes... Well, she's survived thus far so we'll see on that one. The most recent DNC email leaks, even despite being only casually mentioned by the MSM have sent A LOT of Dem voters into an apoplectic fit (read: Bernie supporters). If this has achieved anything, it's fair to say that now EVERYONE is cognizant that presidential election rigging is fully plausible (for those who don't feel like it's already happened before).
Court - " Our choices are poor . . . . but, this is our best hope. Plus it'll be entertaining as hell."
Entertaining? Yes. Violent and dangerous? Quite possibly.

Excellent, well played.

Absolutely; lifted from my post just now on the other thread:
I've found the Conservative Treehouse to be an excellent resource for conservative news and information; I stumbled into them by following a link from Legal Insurrection very early in the Zimmerman trial:
If she chooses to check out CTH, I recommend following the Open Thread every day - lot's of newsworthy items make it in there that don't necessarily warrant a dedicated thread - and be SURE to read the comment sections on the various threads - there's a wealth of information posted up every day by conservative news "detectives."
Also note the "Search" and "Choose A Topic" functions on the right side near the top of each page - there's an absolute wealth of well-documented research material in there; there are 440 threads with information pertaining to Benghazi (always be sure to read the comments), as but one example.
Sundance and the mods do a good job of keeping the place civilized and pointed in the right direction, and CTH, in general, does not suffer fools gladly.
Assange is claiming that he has evidence against Hillary that will undoubtedly put her in stripes..
Has Assange ever lied, embellished or exaggerated? Not that I'm aware watch for an "October surprise" or sooner if Assange is not familiar with that particular American political phenomenon.
Democrats remind me of those white morons that were protesting with black lives matter and told to go to the back and sheepishly obliged. It doesn't matter what Hillary does on says. She could gas the entire Democratic convention with VX and the survivors would still support her.
He is in bed with the Clinton's Never wanted the job. He was hoping to run as a third party candidate so he could suck up enough votes to hand Hill the election.. but won the nomination. Now he has to become a total tool and make sure he doesn't win.
we have been and always will be played for suckers
>>>>we have been and always will be played for suckers
It's getting tougher and tougher to counter that opinion. I told someone today that Trump's chances are as good as Bernie's were and for the same reasons.
We get dismal economic figures on Monday and Trump pisses away his time trying to convince us that Ted Cruz's daddy was part of some conspiracy to kill JFK?
Ugh, I consider myself well-informed on most issues and I didn't even see info on the economic figures. But I sure as hell heard about Trump this and Trump that over the last few days.
I think most knew this would happen...it really was just a matter of time.
He just can't keep his mouth shut of stuff that is completely irrelevant to what he keeps trying to tell people he wants to do - make America great again.
The media has an obstrufication campaign going for Hillary and an all out attack on Trump for basically being rude.
I'd rather have someone rude and honest than eloquently lying to my face for four or more years.
We'll have four years of corruption, letting criminals free, importing terror, letting illegals through unchecked, while kicking freedom in the face and bloated social programs.
Not to mention further destabilization of the middle east and heightened tension with Russia.
In case you guys have missed it there's another arms race starting.
The only people imploding are the American people. Unable to handle the smallest of insults, slights or general disagreements we have become a nation of pussies. Clint Eastwood is spot on in his assessment and like Trump he's taking all kids of flack over his opinion. I would go further and add that we are becoming a nation of lazy morons . So lazy, in fact, that many of us are being manipulated by people spewing forth outright lies and getting away with it because we are, indeed, too lazy to do some basic reading or research. The facts are out there.
Some of you have short memories. The mainstream media always is on the side of the Presidential Democratic candidate. In case you didn't notice, McCain and Romney both were defeated in the last two elections. Both of them, certainly, less abrasive and controversial than Trump and what did the media do to those two?
