hi, i own a 96 s1 lightning and bought the bike 7yrs ago from a dealer and it was(is) fitted with a hypercharger air cleaner which looks really cool and has the bike ride well but being 6' 2" i find my knee is tucked in behind it awkwardly which has me on the very balls of my feet and my bum above the groove of the saddle. can anyone suggest a few brands or websites(preferably australian), on forward mounted pods which would have to improve the comfort levels on distance trips? Any advise would be much appreciated, cheers p.s go stoner this weekend at phillip island, aus. will be riding 900km trip on s1 this coming friday }to be part of history. |

2nd the Forcewinder suggestion. If you get one new, make sure to check out Aaron's excellent review of a design issue that could affect running: http://www.nrhsperformance.com/tech_forcewinder.sh tml Henrik |

I am 6' even and tried others but always banged my knee. The Forcewinder will probably work the best. I put it on my '97 M2 Cyclone. I run a 200 main, drilled out slow jet, and 3 turns out from stop on the mixture screw. |

Harley Here is a picture of the forcewinder on my 96 S1. I'm 6'2" and have good leg room with the air cleaner. Are you on Buells Downunder? Joe
