Just purchased a 2009 XB12XP. Manual states that (for police models)the 12V auxillary outlet under the seat on the XP model has been inactivated. Not sure what that means (have not yet picked up the bike from the dealer, its snowing outside). The 12 v outlet is installed But does anyone have experience or know how to activate the outlet under the seat?
Hope it's a simple fix like put a fuse into the panel!
Thanks

The XB12XP has controls in the tail section for controlling the police lights. My understanding is that it replaced the regular underseat outlet. Being that only about 100 XP's were built I haven't seen it up close. When you do get it, take pictures under the seat and we can assess your options. : )

Thanks Froggy, I have the bike at home and have confirmed that the rear 12V outlet is live. No other action necessary.

I will at some point be removing the Police Wiring Harness as it consumes a considerable amount of real estate under the front wind screen, where I just hard wired my GPS Zumo mount into the backside of the front 12V outlet using 2$ wirestrip adapters.
