What are the standard upgrades as far as the electronic ignition is concerned, like timing advance and spark, and curve. Specifically I'm on a 98 M2, with the usual upgrades Vance & Hines
carb kit, dynojet
S&S aircleaner
Thunderstorm heads

I'd go with Screamin' Eagle coil and aftermarket spark plug cables for ordinary street riding and not spending a whole lot of bucks.

Set the timing to the factory mark.

If you can get a vacuum meter, it's possible to set the change point of the VOES (vacuum operated electrical switch) to a lower setting so that it switches to the more agressive curve sooner. I don't offhand remember what a good setting is, but I could look it up unless you can find it in the Knowledge Vault archives.

I believe the factory module has a soft limiter at 6500 rpm or some such. I think the Dyna 2000i is a very good unit and very tuneable. It's nice to have adjustable curves. You can often pickup a few HP and a slightly smoother running motor if you go single fire.
