i have a 2006 p-3 with vance and hines exhaust. i started having this problem saturday, i was riding at about 75-85mph then the engine made a low pop then wanted to die like it was in a higher gear.
i can turn it on and let it idle in neutral but i pull the throttle with out some clutch it'll just putt out. if i put in gear, same thing. i put a new spark plug, check all wires, boot, inspected the outside of the carb. everything seems good. old spark plug had no carbon.
i'am stumped, any particular places i should look?

Since its a Blast, the carb boot would be highly suspect if you are running something other than the stock airbox.

After that I would suggest a compression/leakdown check to verify it's not internal.
