Lance, Bummer I missed you guys.I was looking forward to getting to meet and ride with you.Bexar County had other plans for me Saturday night so I didn't get my bike back and get goin' 'til about 10.I hauled ass to Leaky via 90 to 127(boring!!)and asked all two gas stations if they had seen y'all then headed back on 337.It was a nice ride even all by my lonesome. Oh well, maybe next weekend. ?? Bill |

Bill, Dude ! 90 to 127 ? yuck. Feel for ya We actually didn't leave Helotes till 10:00 and went out to Bandera, then headed to Kerrville on 16. From there we did some backroads to Luckenbach and to Kendalia. About 20 miles out of Kendalia, my reserve light came on. Made it to town, but guess what THAT TOWN DON"T SELL GAS !?!. had to go door to door begging, till one of the others in the group offered to go back into san antonio ( 30 miles ) and bring some fuel back out. While i was waitin, a volunteer fireman showed up and i was able to bum a couple of gallons of him. Merry Christmas ! made it back to town safe and sound at 3:45. We will ride next Sunday, prolly meet around 9:00 at the Exxon in Helotes. Lance |

That sucks! I could have caught up with y'all!I was really looking forward to that ride,I spent Saturday afternoon jetting my carb and playing with my muffler(I almost have it where I want it)and wanted to put it to the test next to another Buell and see what it's made of.I get a big head ridin' with my h-d buddies.None of them can even touch my Buell(of course)and I need my ego put in check by a bike that'll run with me.Lance, you gonna make me wait 'til next weekend? When is the Thunder on the Trinity? Hell....that thing is south of where I grew up. (Not much to see really....unless the rally has grown a lot since the first couple of times it was held.) |

Blacksix, RT: This weekend at Oak Hill Raceway near beautiful downtown Henderson, Texas... I'll be there on my stripped down Cyclone. School is $100 and last all day. No safety wire required, no preregistration required, just show up, remove your turn signals and kick stand, don your leathers (nylon/kevlar okay too), gauntlet gloves and riding boots (4" over the ankle please) and RIDE a really cool little track till your tires melt. Top speed on this 1.8 mile track is maybe 100MPH on a Buell. Admitance fee is $5 (covers entire weekend). Associate CMRA membership is $50; this will allow you to ride the track on other track days or even rent the track yourself. Be there! Otherwise I'm sure I'll be the only Buell on the track spanking all the racer wanna be's.

Blake- My weekend...including Friday...was shot from beneath me a few weeks ago. I think my family, friends, employer, and employees have conspired to make this next three days a mini-camp for hell. Roadrunr- Wait. Don't get me wrong. I had a lot of fun when I went. I think this rally might be going on its 5th or 6th year. Maybe its 4th with decent sponsorship. It would probably be a blast and a decent ride down Hwy 90 for you (I hate I- 10). I'm just not going to ride from Tyler to Liberty for it. J |

Darn, this weekend's shot for me. 4/12-14? AAUUGGGHHHH!!! NFG for RT! How is it that an unemployed guy has so little free time??? Roadrunr-maybe we can hook up for a ride anyway-do you ever ride west, say around Fayetteville/Round Top? There's some pretty nice roads out that way and a couple of decent spots to eat/drink. If you don't know Royer's in Round Top, you ought to... Blake-is your bike repaired? r-t (po'd in TX) |

There's a big rally this weekend in Boerne. The St. Valentine's Day Massacre. If any of y'all can make it out this way we can get a little group ride goin' and have some fun.The roads out here are great and I imagine we can get several Buells together for it.Attendance will probably be close to 3000 people,so I don't imagine it would be too hard to round up a few Buells out of the crowd. There are usually plenty of us out there. If anyone would like to get something going you can e-mail me or look me up out there.I'll be working with the bike show organizers so it shouldn't be too hard to find me. RT: The rumors of my Cyclone's demise were a ruse aimed at Cecil on SacBORG. I assume that's what you are talking about. It's running as strong as ever! |
