Josh...Tim Hall and Jim Radcliff are planning on doing the Dakar this year with Tim as the rider...They have ordered the KTM rally bike and kit and have secured a position on a container and rally transporter...They are in need of support and funds, if possible, and I told Jim of your effort with the Elves...Would you be interested in sharing your knowledge with Jim re the website, blog, etc...They are thinking of selling stuff and even raffling a trip to accompany them...Wanna go to Africa?... Thanks, Bob |

Brian...I am sorry to say that I am not as I was not even aware of it and have made other plans...I went to one of these events in Rolla a few years ago and it was a lot of fun for a very good organization...If you have an interest in this why don't you promote it here a bit before the next event...I'm certain no one here will mind in the slightest... Thanks, Bob |

Good on you Paul...So what are you going to replace it with?...Inquiring minds and all...Just returned from a 6,100 s'mile trip west and northwest...Neil was one of my traveling buds and we did CO, WY, UT, MT, ID, SD and the stuff in between here and CO and SD...Stayed off the interstates as much as possible...Incredible wx until the last two very warm days transiting from SD to home...Got wetter from cars cleaning their windshields than from any rain...Saw a grizzly bar in Glacier NP...Rode the Going To The Sun Road and The Beartooth Highway...The rest of us could have left our cameras at home what with the great shots Neil took and then shared with all of us via CD's...The idiot was shooting from the scooter transiting The Going To The Sun Road while the rest of us had a white knuckle grip on the bars...But his pics are spectacular...What a trip!... So, when are you going to get a sport touring mount and join us?... Bob |

Hmm, am I the idoit you're mentioning????? At least asked the Apre riders if it was ok to shoot while riding and I stayed at the back of the pack. I do have some great shots of everyone's backside, with a little sceenry thrown in for good measure. Just call me a Photo-Knome with a calculated risk factor! (At least I didn't take picts on the "Spiral Highway", the pucker factor was TOO high to only ride with one hand!) No harm, no foul, and some GREAT picts! Time2Work. Neil S. |

All...We will be riding from the Eureka QT at I-44 and 109 highway at 0900 this Saturday and going to The Elbow Inn near Rolla for BBQ...The Elbow Inn is a biker bar on the Little Piney River that has great BBQ and an interesting atmosphere...Bring your swimsuit and a towel if you want...Woof has a dynamite twisted and scenic route planned... Thanks, Bob |

I called The Elbow Inn to confirm for Saturday and the little birdy that I had heard was correct...It is under new ownership but is still a biker bar and still has BBQ...So we'll just have to see what it is now all about and if the Q is still as good as it was... Boy, the wx for Saturday is really supposed to be great...The weather prognosticators are calling for a high of 83 and a low of around 65 on Friday night...You prolly don't want to miss this one after what we've all just been thru... I've seen it and Woof has a great route planned...Something old, something new...A couple of roads I really can't remember riding...About 170 s'miles to lunch and then on or there is a real direct route back up I-44...And one a bit longer up 28 and 50...OR you can go on to Oark for desert with me... AND Saturday, as it turns out, is the GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION of the "New" Elbow Inn... And Woof's never been there... Kickstands up at 0900 from the Eureka QT...The route takes us thru the intersection of V highway and MO 47 in Union MO and we could pick up any who want to join us there...We'll look for you in the gas station on the southeast quadrant of the intersection... Thanks, Bob |

Bob, ...Well I replaced the Buell with an 05 Crossfire Roadster, and still have the cruiser ('79 Superglide). I'll replace the Buell with sport touring eventually, but no plans as yet. Hey, I would also like to thank you and John for riding safe and teaching me to ride safe. Sunday (while out on the cruiser) I was about 100ft from witnessing a sport bike and car collide on 94. It looked really bad for the girl riding the bike. |

Does anybody around St Louis have the stuff to do a TPS reset besides the stealership? Thanks |

Dan...I would start with the "old" dealers...Try Kevin Haney at Widman...314.771.7100...Prolly help a whole lot if you have the shop manual... Good luck, Bob |

Having owned Buells in the St Louis are since 03/99 the closest TPS reset I'd recommend would be www.coziahrhd.com up near Decatur (who did my TPS one Saturday morning with a day's notice in about 15min and didn't bother to charge me). To answer your specific question, I don't know of any non-dealer in the area with the capability, but then my 91RS1200 and 00Blast don't have TPSs. |
