I went for a little ride today...did Lake Lowery road, Fussel road and Green Pond road...Lake Lowery had the usual amount of sand in the corners especially on the inside bends, so if you ride it be careful. Fussel road was great...see you guys on Sunday... | ||

Isn't it Sunday YET!!! Man this week is crawling by. I'm going on a run to Inverness Saturday with a couple Concours people. I think. Depends on the type of "group". Will be a nice weekend of riding.  See y'all Sunday. Mike | ||

FAST1075 - I'm drawing a blank here (my short term memory just has not been what it should be since I fell off that golf cart and hit my head!) - and can't visualize Fussel or Lake Lowery Roads. I first discovered Green Pond about 10 years ago and pretty much hit most out of the way country roads, but always looking for those roads I've missed. Thanks, Happy Trails | ||

Hiyah Mags...Fussel road runs from Old Grade road north of I-4 (SR 557 out of Lake Alfred becomes Old Grade after it crosses I-4) to SR 33 north of Polk City. It's in pretty good shape and the road surface is usually good and clean. Lake Lowrey runs from CR 17 (west of Haines City) to the Haines City/Lake Alfred road between Lake Alfred and Haines City. This is the twistiest road around, but weekday truck traffic often cuts the inside corners tight...putting sand on the surface... | ||

Photos of the first part of the day: For some of us, the ride to the ride was hairy....  "You see, red makes the wheels turn faster..I get there quicker!"  The finer points of leaning the bike.  Dig'n the highway pegs!   On the way to Ace Café! Nice.   I get the ADV rider salute! Thanks!  It's a long, lonely road when your out in front.    Flash back to the 60's.   Horses in the corral..... Thanks FAST - know exactly where you are talking about, Fussel is a great road to ride. I realize now there is another Green Pond Road - are you talking about the Green Pond that runs off of Rockridge? I am not sure that I've been on Lake Lowery - but you can bet I will soon. Thanks for info!! Rode up through Montverde this weekend - always love that ride. Great place along lake in Howey-In-The-Hills to eat lunch, just don't recall the name. It's on the lake just off 19 - tons of bikes, good food, although they do think a little highly of themselves  Loved looking at pics from your ride - always love reading about other rider's adventures. I prefer the lone ranger type of riding, but maybe one day will be able to hook up with ya'll - looks like you really have a great time. I may not be around, but I'm always watching... | ||

Ego damage is "good" in this case. Glad no body / physical damage.  Camera is 3 year old Nikon Coolpix 11. 3 mega pixel if I remember correctly. Might be higher. And I'm sure they are smaller now. Wanted a little heft and big enough buttons for gloves. Looking at the GoPro as I said during breakfast. Has the right size for gloved hands, and if mounted, takes a pic every 2 or 5 seconds along the ride. Or video if you want. And at the price, I may get two for front and rear shots. Mike | ||

Dang, that looks like a hoot. Wish we could have made it down for it but we opted for our weekend ride on Saturday and sacrificed the day Sunday to the garage door paint gods. Garage door looks great but it would have been more fun to be riding with a bunch of Buellers. Next month, maybe? That Thruxton looks awesome in red! BeLinda. | ||

Yeah looks like a great ride, Geesh Dave finally comes out for a ride and Richard runs into him!! Glad everyone is OK, I guess the 1125 wanted to cross breed with the dual sport and create a 1125 ULY!! Sorry I missed it, had a work thing! See everyone next month! | ||

Mike, As mentioned keep an eye on the Orlando group as Wed. night there was talk of people going to the races and what not. I take the week off and go over every day but most of what I do is of little interest to most Buellers (custom bike stuff, hanging out on Main St. etc). I tell you it beats working though HAHA.
