I figure this is a great place to start to ask for some help. We'd really like to show our appreciation for those in uniform serving this country; both abroad and state-side. We are far from the closest dealership to some of Colorado's bases, but we feel we have appreciation, service and sincere support to rival any m/c dealership in the state when it comes to veterans. In 2009, for instance, we will be holding our 21st annual Disabled American Vet Run which raises funds for the DAV and, the last couple years, Harley's Heroes. This is a national campaign from the H-D Foundation that supports a fleet of mobile service office trucks to help vets learn about, and file for benefits.

Anyhow, we are in the early stages of planning some events and specials that will market to soldiers and veterans from the various bases state wide. We fell the Buell family has special appeal to a good many of them. Can anyone here point me to media that is used on bases, like Stars & Stripes, that might take advertising from us to communicate these events?

Dave, the VFW Warriors are pretty active around all the bases in Colorado. Here is a link to their site. http://www.vfw-warriors.com/

They have a contact section. Or you can send the flyer to me and I will make sure it gets to the VFW State Director. As far as the bases, I will have to check on it. Each base has a newspaper and they are usually weekly or monthly.

I am not sure about the DAV or American Legion.
