Well it's been a while in coming. I've been to a couple of International Motorcycle Shows in Long Beach with my son in order to demo several of the Buell models. Actually he was the one who wanted to ride the Buells. I went there to see the new Kawasaki ZX-14.

After a lot of thought, I didn't want the hassle of valve checks and adjustments the ZX-14 would need.

I finally decided this last Nov. at the IMS demos that I liked the XB12R's out of all the Buell models best.

I went to my local Buell Dealer, Harley-Davidson Fresno in June, to talk about getting one. They didn't have any '07 XB12R's left over, so I waited to see what the '08 models would be like.

I liked what Buell did with all the motor improvements, and the Arctic White sealed the deal for me! Plus the fact it's a 25th Anniversary Model!

I had to wait over 2 months for the first Arctic White XB12R.

My bike finally arrived on the 5th of Sept. I got to take pictures the next morning of it being uncrated! That was the first time I got to see the new color in person. It's fantastic!

I took ownership of the bike on 9/7/07. It's been fun!

I've seen pictures of people's cars coming off the haulers when they reach a dealership, but I've never seen anyone photograph their bike being uncrated. Very cool! If I were in your shoes, part of me would want to keep the wrapping paper from that present to myself! :-)

Congratulations!

I've always liked white bikes. Yours is the best looking I've seen yet.
Great combo with the blue!!

Dealer set up.... what do they do besides put the mirrors on?? The bike looks complete sitting on the crate.

I took the pictures of it in the crate because I figure I'll probably never buy another new bike again. I took about 20 pictures as it was being unwrapped. I couldn't wait to see the new blue wheel color. Pictures just don't do them justice.

I did keep the Buell Logo wrapping off the sides. It's a material like the plastic tarps.

That looks sweet. If I were to buy a new Bolt, it would be that color!
Congrats on the new ride.

Awesome ride. I've got an XB12R also. I started riding Buells in '04 and haven't looked back. You'll love it.

Yeah i thought when the bike got to the dealer there was all kind of assembly that had to be done to justify there added cost.
WTF?

first off love the white and blue.....congrats!

Now the dealer prep: its strictly the time it takes them to get it out of the crate, because the crate says BUELL they have a harder time of it then if it said harley.....as we all know anything that says BUELL confuses the hell out of the everyday HD tech.

just a theory

The setup fee must be the time it takes to dismantle the crate to reveal the bike, oh yeah and wiping it down!

You know, I've been wondering how a Hero Blue translucid air box cover would look on that to go with the wheels and windscreen . . .

BTW, Have a good buddy that just got the exact same bike. You're right, the pics don't do the blue justice!!

Take care!!
