Ok, first, I have searched the heck out of the KV to no avail, so I am asking here. 03XB9S, 8500 mi. Not beaten, just ridden hard. First, the bike shifts like butter, up and down. So this has me curious. I have developed a very annoying squeak coming from the clutch area. The squeak only appears when cold, and after its been parked for at least 3 hours, sometime not at all. It mostly appears when in neutral, pulling the clutch results in no change. The squeak sounds a bit like a bearing race spinning on a shaft. It doesn't sound serious, just extremely annoying. It isn't constant, just a few squeaks on start and it's gone. I am pulling the side case this weekend to adjust the primary, maybe I'll see something. My baby is crying and I don't like it at all. Any Ideas??? |

Check the ball ramp bearing while you are there, mine went bad at 20k or something like that. |
