I've noticed that there's no visible fluid in the sight glass of the master cylinder on my bike (05 9SX). I couldn't find anything in the owner's manual stating proper levels. I'm not having any braking problems...just curious as to why I can't "see" anything in the "sight" glass. If I do need to fill it to a certain level..does anything special need to go in there?

Thanks, Jamie

DOT 4 Fluid should show up as a light tan color in the sight glass new, a darker brown once it gets some age to it. Either way, you should check your fluid level with the top cover off, and fill until the sight glass is full if it is low. I'll get the actual spec to ya once I get home.
