Ok, So i realize this is probably a dumb question but i figured the only dumb question is the one not asked. So here it goes. I recently replaced my clutch cable and i drained my fluid out of my Primary. I ordered this stuff from AmericanSportBike.com Is this the right fluid to put in my bike? And do I use the entire quart? http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17135.html |

That will work nicely. It generally takes just under a quart. If you've got the shop manual, follow the directions about filling it. Too much oil will result in difficult shifting. |

i just bought the same stuff from them! after doing all the research from other buellers, i decided to go with the factory stuff for the trans/primary. seemed like the best bet. as for the engine oil, thats a different story (big Mobil 1 fan) |

from what I have seen the only thing you don't want to put in the primary is Mobil, cause it is believed to cause stator problems. |

It is my understanding that the reason for not running Mobil-1 gear oil in the primary chain case is due to it's zinc content. The zinc content attacks the soft metals, such as brass and copper (Stator materials?). This is the same reason that it shouldn't be run in manual transmissions using brass syncros. I believe that gear lube that has a MT-1 (or possibly GL-4) rating would not have the same problem. |

For those of us that don't yet have a manual, is the drain and fill procedure on here anywhere? |
