Looks like I'm going to be in the Washington DC area in late August/early September. Summit Point looks to be the nearest track so I plan to try a track day while I'm there. Couple of questions;
1 Whats Summit Point like?
2 Whats the chance of hiring an XB9/12 in the area?

Have you visited their website?

http://www.summitpoint-raceway.com/

Click on the 3 tracks button, then on the track, then on individual sections, it gives you tips and details of the tracks.

Never been there, it is probably a 5 hour trip from central WV.

Have fun,
Bill

In the Storm Front section visit the folks in the MD/DC/VA area. MANY of them have been to Summit Point. I've only been on the Jefferson Circuit and had fun there, which is the smaller track at Summit Point.

It is in WV, which is Almost Heaven anyways so it is worth the trip.

You want to rent a Buell for a track day? Not sure if any dealers would do that. Buell of Fort Washington and Frederick Buell might be able to help you out there.

1 - its a great track, if its dry. A long straight that you can top out on, a carousel where you can catch back up to the bikes that passed you on the straight. Some elevation changes that makes things interesting (downhill through 4 into hard braking into 5) Its a good mix, and on racing weekends the MARRC crews are great

Jefferson is a good Buell track, as the straights are not too long. Really fun tight stuff and a good double apex right.

I've done it a few times and really enjoyed it.

Great track. You could check with Coleman power sports in Va.,Loudon motor sports in Va., Cycle sport in Va., or Motorcycle factory in Va. Sometimes these dealers have track days.
